Love the show- I’ve discovered a lot of great shows thanks to this site and your podcasts. Speaking of which, Warehouse 13 is my current favorite show hands down, and for the reasons you mention- great characters & character moments. While the Pete/Mika “body-swapping” story has been done before, I think this episode is notable for having two full-fledged, distinct missions in one episode with 2 sets of agents in the field. Unfortunately this necessitated a break from the H.G. Wells & Mrs. Frederic & Regents story arcs, but it was a neat way to mix up the format of the show a bit and keep things fresh. I think my favorite moment you didn’t mention was Artie getting Claudia back by leaving her tied up saying, “There are 8 ways you can escape- 9 including the spatula…knock knock.” Seeing her escape and return to the Warehouse and the inevitable reunion with Artie and the gang are priceless moments I wish we could have seen!

Regarding the current state of Eureka, I also agree that unlike Warehouse 13, these character moments tend to make me uncomfortable. However, I’d like to point out that the musical number in “Stoned” was inspired by romantic advice from Fargo. Remember that Henry broke the “do not tell” rule (!) and so in his efforts to get to know this woman that is now his wife in the “current” timeline, he inadvertently recreated their first date in her timeline. So he asked Jack for advice, who told him to “ask the person you would be least likely to ask for romantic advice.” While not explicitly mentioned, the fact that Fargo is the DJ and proclaims this event to be “romantic,” leads me to the conclusion that Henry sought out his advice to avoid repeating his past romantic efforts, and “think outside the box.” Although the scene stretched credulity, (would GD employees really just join in and start dancing along? in the rotunda? during the workday?) there was a character-based rationale. Thankfully there was no mass organized choreography, but still. (And after checking the syfy site, i realized this is also explained in the episode synopsis. *sigh*)
And I liked the most recent episode, “The Ex-Files” MUCH more than recent efforts. First and foremost because a lot of the issues that none of us seem to like have finally been resolved! At the same time an interesting new direction involving Dr. Grant has emerged. It would seem the show is getting back to being a sci-fi show again and not a CW angsty show!

Eureka points to ponder that don’t seem to be addressed by the show:
    a) repercussions of Henry breaking the “do not tell” rule? So far it seems she will keep his secret, and none of the other 4 knows he has told her, but this still seems like a glaring issue.
    b) Henry is the only person in Eureka fully aware of the 3 different time streams/realities throughout the run of the show.

Thanks, and keep up the good work!
