Genre Challenge

Genre ChallengeKevin from Tuning in to SciFi TV and Scott from the SciFi Diner Podcast got together to challenge each other to watch a show they had never seen before.  Listen to hear which show each of them picked and how this is all going to work.  We’ll come back to check up on them from time to time, and you’re welcome to join us.

You can find our forum discussion thread about the shows here.

  1. I loved this episode! Great idea and great picks.

Kevin I’m *thrilled* to hear you are going to check out… oh, can I say the title of the series – don’t want to spoil it for listeners. But the first one you mention I’m thrilled you are going to check out. It’s one of my faves. Not sure how well it’s aged but it felt a little ahead of it’s time to me. Also lots of beautiful people, hehe.

And I love Scott’s pick too – that’s a new one to me. Looks a little hard to find though, as you mention.

Be curious to hear how the things go! Have fun on the adventure. 🙂

  2. Whee! More folks finding Charlie Jade is always a good thing. Scott, you should see about snagging a copy of SciFiNow Magazine #46, and saving it for later… it has a big write-up of Charlie Jade that might make a good reference for you after you’ve seen the series. And RA Porter’s episode recaps, available at http://www.charliejade.net and http://www.dreamloom.com, are well worth it.

And I’m kinda psyched that you have Space: Above and Beyond in the photo there… are you planning to do that one eventually? We chatted with Joel de la Fuente when we talked about the show for Kick-Ass Mystic Ninjas #16

  3. Summer….there is another show I have never watched Space: Above and Beyond…. Might have to add that to my Bucket List of shows… Dark Angel needs to be there as well. Thanks for the references.

    Scott

  4. lol wow guys! I guess I’ve seen more than both of you combined and i’m only 20. 95% of what you mentioned I’ve seen.*dies inside* I failed life and watched it? haha! I love that i’ve seen them all though. Just nothing to go back to sadly.
