For the past couple of years I’ve co-hosted the Sci-Fi Drive-In Theatre movie screening in the American Sci-fi and Fantasy Media track at Dragon*Con with Joe Crowe. We do an MST3K style running commentary during the screening of the film. In 2011 we screened ‘Sharktopus’ and in 2012 we did ‘Mega Python vs Gatoroid’ (several photos from last years event are available on Facebook courtesy of Jenn Geoppinger here).
We’re currently debating what title to show this year so if you have a suggestion please let us know (contact details below).
We want to screen a film that will be fun to watch where the crowd can cheer and boo the hero, the villan, the creature(s) or all of the above!
Here are some other guidelines to keep in mind…
– the film has to be a scifi or fantasy title released on DVD in the US between 2004 and 2013
– our audience is all ages so it has to be rated G, PG or PG-13
– it does NOT have to be a Syfy Original Movie
