  1. Okay, this is the episode of the podcast made me want to strangle you guys (in love)!

I totally disagree that these two episodes of Supernatural aren’t related to the end of the world. Since the boys are going up against their biggest fight yet and, as the entire mythos of Supernatural has said – the only strength comes from the brothers being together. With the end of last season and the hurts that Sam and Dean both have, that has to be fixed before we can save the world (though my personal pet theory is emo about that). The brothers haven’t been the brothers for awhile now, and we have to give them the opportunity to mend those broken fences (Which we’ve been doing all this season.. but mostly through chick flick moments that Dean hates).

One of the things that I love about Supernatural is the humor. The best way to get the boys back together is to give them normal-esque adventures stuffed with the angsty humor we’ve come to know and love (Ben Edlund at his best — after all this is the guy who came up with the idea for Bad Horse). I really felt the end of the TV episode was more tacked on then the convention episode. The real theme of the convention is to stop playing and realizing that it’s your relationships that make life worth living. And, I love Becky. She reminds me of Rachel from Glee.

And of course the boys and Castiel wouldn’t read all of the Sam & Dean novels. Have you really seen Castiel doing anything but looking for God? He’s not really interested in the colt (that’s the boys) and the boys were entirely skived by the entire thing. And do you really see Castiel sitting down and reading?

That said, now that I’ve seen THIS week’s episode, I’m glad for those two episodes. I cried like a little baby.

  2. I was amused by the fact that the fan-girl knows more about the details of what happened months or years ago then the people involved. Die-hard fans are like that. They know exactly why the starship X can’t do what it did because two seasons ago the character Y made a through away comment in episode Z. So it felt kind of natural that Becky was the only one who knew about the colt.
