I went into watching this first episode of Sinbad with almost no background information. I had only heard about this new show without knowing what actors were going to be in it or exactly how it was going to relate to the Sinbad mythology.

I wasn’t overly impressed with the story line that played out in the first few minutes mainly because it’s one we’ve seen many times before. However, once the tone of the show shifted a bit to the serious side because of something that happened in the story I became much more interested in what was going to happen next. I found that the characters were very engaging and I’m very curious to see what’s going to happen to them from here. The visual effects and the overall look of the show is very well done. If you’re a fan of fantasy shows I highly recommend that you check it out when you get the chance. I’ll talk more about this on our next Last Call podcast.
The good folks at SPACE sent me an early DVD screener of this first episode. The show premieres on SPACE in Canada and Sky1 in the UK on Sunday July 8th. No information yet on when it might air in the US.
