If you’re a fan of the cult classic film Night Of The Comet (1984) you’re gonna want to start making plans to attend Indy PopCon in Indianapolis, Indiana in June.

At this point you’re probably asking yourself “Kevin, why would I want to attend Indy PopCon”?

Aside from it being a very fun convention, I attended last year and had a great time, for fans of pop culture, comics, TV, movies and much more it’s also a rare opportunity to meet both of the stars of “Night of the Comet”. Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney are scheduled to be guests at the convention so you’ll get a chance to meet each of them in person and get an autograph and/or photo with them if you’d like. You can also attend a special screening of the film. The screening will be held at The Historic Artcraft Theatre in Franklin, Indiana on Thursday June 16th at 7:00pm. A Q&A session will occur at the screening MC’d by yours truly. After the screening there will be a comet party at the Triple Play BBQ. Both of the film’s lovely leading ladies are scheduled to be in attendance at these events. There is a fee to attend the screening and comet party. Check the Indy PopCon website for more details as they become available.

If you’ve never seen the film the trailer is below. In a review at the time of the film’s release Variety said it’s “A successful pastiche of numerous science fiction films, executed with an entertaining, tongue-in-cheek flair”. I recorded a brief, spoiler free introduction to the film that you can find here.

For more details about the convention please visit the Indy PopCon website, Facebook fan page, Facebook discussion group or Twitter.
